Dr. Subedi trained as a general surgeon in Shanghai before pursuing subspecialty fellowships in burn and critical care surgery at UTMB Galveston, and abdominal transplant surgery at UTHSC Memphis and UPMC Pittsburgh, where he served as Chief Administrative Transplant Surgery Fellow at the Starzl Transplant Institute. He now works as Principal Abdominal Organ Procurement Surgeon at TransMedics, advancing organ preservation and procurement across the country.
Alongside clinical work, he founded High Criteria Inc., a 501(c)(3) providing free and reduced-cost surgery for underserved populations, and produces Trenches in Transplant Surgery, a podcast on the future of organ perfusion and transplant care.
